Sokil
Cohort 2Active
UAV-based demining technology for war-affected zones
Sokil uses drones and magnetometry to rapidly detect landmines and unexploded ordnance, with a particular focus on Ukraine. Their system costs $200–$400 per unit to manufacture — dramatically cheaper than $20,000–$50,000 alternatives — and has already progressed through three working prototypes.
The platform allows operators to plan drone flights, process magnetic detection data, and identify threats through a single interface. Founded by Harvey Mudd College students, Sokil's CEO Ivan Dudiak grew up in a region of Ukraine now heavily affected by Russian ordnance.
