ExploraVist

ExploraVist is an AI-powered wearable device that clips onto any pair of glasses and audibly describes the user's surroundings in seconds — enabling blind and visually impaired users to read menus, navigate stores, and understand their environment independently.

At a fraction of the cost of existing devices (which run $20,000–$50,000), ExploraVist launched a 50-device beta in late 2024. The startup won 1st place at Pomona's SageTank pitch competition in 2025 and has received support from the Claremont Accelerator and The Hive. Founded by three Harvey Mudd College students.
